Dashboard Overview
Learn about dashboard metrics and basic navigation
Understanding Your Dashboard
The dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It provides a high-level overview of your business performance and quick access to all major features of the platform.
Key Metrics
At the top of your dashboard, you will find summary cards displaying your most important business metrics:
Total Branches
This card shows the total number of branches you have created under your organization. It gives you an at-a-glance count of all your physical locations managed through Qrder.
Active QR Scans
This metric tracks how many times customers have scanned your QR codes. It is a direct indicator of customer engagement and foot traffic across your branches.
Order Summary
If you have order management enabled for your branches, this section shows a summary of recent orders including total count and status breakdown.
These metrics update in real time as customers interact with your digital menus and place orders.
Sidebar Navigation
The left sidebar is your primary navigation tool. It provides access to all major sections of the platform:
Main Navigation Items
- Dashboard - Returns you to the main dashboard overview
- Branches - View and manage all your restaurant branches
- Analytics - Access detailed analytics and reports across all branches
- Settings - Configure organization-level settings
Branch-Specific Navigation
When you select a specific branch, the navigation expands to show branch-level options:
- Overview - Branch summary and quick stats
- Menu - Manage categories and products for this branch
- QR Codes - Generate and download QR codes
- Kitchen Display - Access the kitchen display system (if enabled)
- Order Management - View and manage orders (if enabled)
- Reviews - View customer reviews (if enabled)
- Settings - Configure branch-specific settings
Some navigation items only appear when the corresponding feature is enabled in branch settings. See the Feature Toggles section for details.
Quick Actions
The dashboard provides several quick action buttons to help you get things done faster:
Common Quick Actions
- Add New Branch - Create a new branch directly from the dashboard
- View Recent Orders - Jump to the latest orders across all branches
- Download QR Codes - Quick access to QR code downloads
These quick actions save you time by reducing the number of clicks needed to perform common tasks.
Onboarding Checklist
If you are new to Qrder, the dashboard may display an onboarding checklist to guide you through the initial setup process. This checklist typically includes:
- Create your first branch - Set up your first restaurant location
- Add menu items - Build your digital menu with categories and products
- Set up QR codes - Generate and download QR codes for your tables
- Configure settings - Adjust branch settings to match your needs
The onboarding checklist helps ensure you do not miss any important setup steps. Each item links directly to the relevant section of the platform.
Branch Switcher
If you manage multiple branches, the branch switcher in the sidebar allows you to quickly switch between different locations:
- Look for the branch name or dropdown in the sidebar
- Click to open the branch list
- Select the branch you want to manage
- The dashboard and navigation will update to show data for the selected branch
This is especially useful when you need to compare settings or make changes across multiple locations.
Responsive Design
The Qrder dashboard is designed to work across different screen sizes:
- Desktop - Full sidebar navigation with expanded metrics
- Tablet - Collapsible sidebar with touch-friendly controls
- Mobile - Compact layout with hamburger menu navigation
For the best management experience, we recommend using a desktop or tablet. The mobile view is great for quick checks and updates on the go.
