Updating Your Branch Details
As your business evolves, you may need to update your branch information. Qrder makes it easy to edit branch details at any time.
Accessing the Branch Edit Page
There are two ways to get to the branch editing interface:
From the Branches List
- Navigate to Branches in the left sidebar
- Find the branch you want to edit in the list
- Click on the branch name to open its detail page
- Navigate to the Settings tab
From the Branch Detail Page
- If you are already viewing a branch, look for the Settings tab in the branch navigation
- Click on Settings to access branch configuration
- The basic information section will be available for editing
Editable Branch Fields
Branch Name
The branch name is the primary identifier for your location throughout the platform and is visible to customers.
When to update:
- If your restaurant has been renamed
- If you want a more descriptive name
- If you are rebranding a location
Tips:
- Keep the name clear and recognizable
- Include the location or neighborhood for multi-branch operations
- Avoid special characters that might cause display issues
Description
The branch description provides additional context about your location.
When to update:
- When you change your cuisine style or concept
- When seasonal offerings change your focus
- When you want to highlight new features or specialties
Tips:
- Keep it between 1-3 sentences
- Mention what makes this location unique
- Update it periodically to keep content fresh
Address
The physical address of your branch location.
When to update:
- If you relocate to a new address
- If the original address was incomplete or incorrect
- If street names or numbering change in your area
Tips:
- Include the full street address
- Add city and postal code for clarity
- Double-check accuracy since customers may use this for navigation
How to Save Changes
After making your edits:
- Review all the changes you have made
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the form
- A confirmation message will appear indicating your changes have been saved
- The updated information takes effect immediately across the platform
Changes to branch information are reflected immediately. Customers scanning QR codes after the update will see the new information.
What Changes Affect Customers?
It is important to understand which changes are visible to your customers:
Visible to Customers
- Branch Name - Displayed on the digital menu page
- Description - May be shown on the customer-facing menu
- Gallery Photos - Visible on the branch menu page
Internal Only
- Settings and feature toggles
- Analytics data
- Order management configurations
Be mindful when editing customer-facing information. Review changes carefully before saving.
Editing Best Practices
Make Changes Thoughtfully
- Avoid frequent name changes that might confuse regular customers
- Keep descriptions professional and accurate
- Update addresses promptly when relocating
Coordinate with Your Team
- If multiple team members manage the same branch, communicate about changes
- Ensure everyone is aware of updated branch names or descriptions
- Review changes together before applying them
Keep Records
- While Qrder does not keep a change history visible to you, it is good practice to note significant changes
- Record when you made major updates for your own reference
- This helps with troubleshooting if any issues arise
Editing Branch Gallery
In addition to basic information, you can also manage your branch photos. The gallery is a separate section covered in detail in the next page.

Deleting a Branch
If you need to remove a branch entirely, you can do so from the branch settings page:
- Navigate to the branch settings
- Scroll to the bottom to find the delete option
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Deleting a branch is permanent and removes all associated data including menus, QR codes, orders, and analytics. This action cannot be undone.
